Latest Hitz News

There's lots of news, firstly from Hitz FM's former sponsorship manager, Chris..

How did your 'new look' website go during broadcast 18?

We've had over 1,000,000 visits to our web site, and we've got over 1200 listeners on the "Hitz FM - Studio" ICQ

And more importantly, you submitted the Hitz Full-time license application last Friday..

I think that although the ABA is saying the apps will be on line for all to see in early December, I understand that one of the applicants was granted an extension while they developed arguments for their license.
This may mean that the apps could be online a little later than expected.

Anything else to tell the RWHC readers?

We may be on air again for a temporary broadcast. We are predicting March 2001 for 4 weeks.

Issue 4 of HITZ members' mini mag is coming out in December, just before Christmas.
(that makes 4 member magazines in the space of 12 months which is a pretty top achievement on Tracey's part)

Thanks Chris.. we've also received a quick email from Hitz President Andrew Gyopar..

I've just got back from the CBAA conference. [Community Broadcasters of Australia]
It was very worthwhile at this stage of the application process. Our application was lodged with the ABA on Friday November 24.
Next we will be putting forward a submission in response to the applications of the other pplicants.
"Interested Parties" are also welcome to submit a response. (hint, hint!!!)
It's finally happening!!!

Thanks Andrew.

Keep visiting our news page to find out when the ABA site has all the Melbourne license applications on-line.
