Hitz Update 8/7/00

  Hitz FM President, Andrew Gyopar (the only member of the Hitz committee ever to be confused with a member of the band CDB) gives us you the latest news.. and you heard it here first!
 
 
So Andrew, first of all, is that August 21 correct for the next Hitz broadcast?

Hitz is negotiating a new time share agreement with the ABA and the other groups that share 89.9 MHz (Kiss, Laugh, 777 & Street).
Given that time is getting away from us (through no fault of our own I might add) we are more likely to start the broadcast on Monday September 4 (just in time for the school holidays and the Olympics).
We hope to finalise this date by the end of the week.

OK, and what about the Hitz web site?

We are in the process of developing an extensive new web site (www.hitzfm.org.au). It will be launched on day one of next broadcast.
In the meantime there is a Flash splash page... a good indication of things to come.

What.. that someone likes a blue colour scheme? Hahah..
Seriously, there's a Hitz members' meeting soon..

Hitz is holding it's Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) on Saturday July 15.
The OGM will be at the Hoyts City Centre on Bourke Street, Melbourne. The meeting starts at 10am. All members are encouraged to attend.
We will be screening a movie straight after the meeting (11am).

(sounds interesting!)
