The big Raw FM test transmission is nearing
the end. There is more and more negativity about the place, despite the
enthusiasm of the listeners.
Robert suggests finishing the broadcast and
starting again next Summer... most people don't agree, and soon his
popularity hits rock bottom.. and he's being blamed for everything
that goes wrong.
The staff are turning on Robert the same way
that they did to Cara in episode four... and soon, Mark and Sam are
working on a motion of no-confidence in Robert as vice-president.
To complicate things further, they need Rob's
signature to apply for a license extension.. or do they?
The relationship between Rob, Zelda and
Granger is changing.. and by the end of the episode, Robert has hit
the bottle in a big way.. and leaves for England to work as a
producer.
Who knows how many broken hearts there were
amongst the Raw FM audience at the end of this episode?

The third Hitz FM broadcast was supposed to
run for 60 days.. from December 10, 1993. After two months, amazing
things happened..
The number of phone calls became
unbelievable..
It was decided to extend the broadcast rather
than wait for the following Summer.
After this, Melbourne radio ratings came out,
with record-breaking rises in the
'other FM' category... for people
aged between 10 and 25.
[Note: The radio
ratings are paid for by the larger stations, so all other FM stations
are lumped together as 'other fm'
As Hitz FM was the only new
station during
that survey period, most
people attributed
this sudden rise to the
aspirant broadcaster.]
Soon, the level of media coverage went
ballistic with a big stories on
A Current Affair
and
Hey
Hey its Saturday
.
..and of course, this further increased
the number of listeners!!
