Raw FM's plot Hitz FM's reality
The famous 'flashback episode'
of Raw FM.

Brit-pop band B4 (strangely reminiscent of Take That ) comes to RAW, with Mark hyping it up on-air.

Hundreds of fans invade the station, and one over enthusiastic girl handcuffs herself to the lead singer. A hastily arranged rooftop gig sounds awful when the bands backing tape is lost.. not that the fans mind, until the number one admirer drops from the roof........

Meanwhile, Cara and Curtis are locked in a small room.. and Cara forgets about Granger for a moment.. xoxoxo (igniting debate on the Raw FM chat page)

There's much finger-pointing,
and Raw is lucky to survive the disaster without severe consequences.

Episode Ten of Raw FM seemed very similar to an event at Hitz FM
near the end of it's most successful broadcast.. Summer 1993/4.

After weeks of on-air promotion, the station had it's first big appearance at the studio.. "Peter Andre"...
riding on the success of his singles
"Gimme little Sign" and "Funky Junky".

It was Valentines Day, Feb 14 1994...

  • A hundred or so screaming fans in the Hitz Car Park..
  • Staff members having trouble getting in past the hired security...
  • Fans pounding on studio windows as their idol talks on the radio..

Luckily the most damage during Hitz's "B4" was a dented station car when Peter Andre stood on top of it to throw prizes
to his admirers!
