In Glass

If I could only dream once more,
Just feel the single grace,
An unconscious silhouette of hope,
To let this loving heart break down,
A piece of light through darkness,
Though I but lay here,
Without a dream, Without a hope,
Living here without a soul,
Not alive yet breathing,
A flower encased in glass,
Will my petals fall?
To bring an end to the beast,
An end to my false dream,
Or could I be loved?
Lost in this dark,
Slowly letting go,
I float away,
To where the beauty loves the beast.

(Note: I gave up on love and romance. I guess I may still harbor some of the feelings of hope. Everyone wants love in one form or another, thought I doubt I'll ever really see that form.)
