| Forgotten Child The sands of the hourglass fall, The deep whispers never cease to call, They rock me gently to my oblivious sleep, Fear racks my mind as I pray my soul to keep, The ancient demons of past wrongs come to me, Blood fills my vision until death is all I can see, My breath becomes short as my pain disappears, Alone I stand to battle all my forgotten fears, I am the forsaken child of all once pure, Turned into a faceless demon thats pain has no cure, My body shakes in this fragile form, This nightmare is like one never-ending storm, No hand reaches out for me to take, It feels as if from this nightmare I shall never wake, Left to wander the abyss of eternity's sorrow, I never wake to find the joys of tomorrow, Where are all my childhood dreams? Have they been replaced with these dead screams? Questions fill my weeping heart, My body willing itself to be torn apart, How I wish I could go back to yesterday, Maybe then this pain would go away, Yet I am stuck in this endless nightmare, I cry out but none have reason to care, Yet here I am, A lost child, Forever to wander the forgotten wild. (Note: I didn't know it at the time, but now that I made this...it kinda reminds me of the twins Mekare and Maharet from Queen of the Damned...heh, to much Anne Rice!) |
