born in 1980 in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. His first school was R/Getangama Maha Vidyalaya. Then he studied at R/ Seevali Central College in Ratnapura. He did G.C.E. O/L (year 1995) and G.C.E. A/L Examination (in commerce) (year 1998) at R/Seevali Central College.

After getting result of advanced level examination, he worked in

 a vehicle selling company (for 6 months period) as an Account 

clerk. Then he worked as a clerk at the Ministry of Labour in 

Narahenpita (Colombo) since June 2000 until his university entrance. 

Now he is an undergraduate of Faculty of  Management and 

Finance  of University of Ruhuna. Meanwhile he is following 

a Management Accounting course  conducted by

CMA-Sri Lanka institute.

Ravindu's father Mr. Gunasena Kuruvita was a principal. 

Now he is retired. Mother Mrs. Kusum Wickrama Pathirana 

is a school teacher; now working at R/Getangama Maha 

Vidyalaya - Ratnapura. She teaches Buddhism and Sinhala

 for ordinary level students.

Ravindu has two sisters and one brother
