MDMA belongs to the family of drugs called "entactogens" which means "touching within". Before it was made illegal in 1985, MDMA was used by psyciatrists as a therapeutic tool. MDMA is a "mood elevator" & gives a relaxed state. It takes effect 20-40 mins after taking a tablet, the peak comes 60-90 mins later, the drug will wear off after 3-5 hours. *BEWARE* Ecstacy is illegal & possession can be punished w/ long prison sentences. Frequent or high doses have been linked to neurotoxic damage in lab animals. Some people experience depression, heatstroke & heart trouble after taking MDMA. And, as always, much of what is sold as "ecstacy" on the black market is inpure & may contain other, more harmful substances.

LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) is a hallucinogenic or psychedelic drug. It is usually found absorbed into tiny peices of paper, absorbed into a sugar cube or in pure liquid form. It's almost always swallowed. LSD experiences are descriped as "trips" because it's like a journey to another place. The four "phases" are: The ONSET Approx. 30 mins after ingestion, colors appear sharper, moving objects leave trails & flat surfaces appear to "breathe". The PLATEAU- Over the 2nd hour, effects become more intense. Visions appear from nowhere, shapes appear in smoke & light, ect. The PEAK- Time is slowed almost to a standstill. Things seem unreal, like another world or a movie. Some users find this profound & awesome, other find it frightening. The COMEDOWN- 5-6 hours after taking the drug, the sensation starts to wear off. Ater 8 hours, the trip is usually over. If someone is having a bad trip: *Take them to a quiet place where they feel comfortable. *Find one of their friends who can reassure them. *Make sure they understand the panic is because of the drug & will wear off in a few hours if not sooner. *If things look really bad & they get uncontrollable or hysterical, you may want to contact your local poison control center. *BEWARE* LSD can trigger underlying mental problems, paranoia, & schizophrenia-like symtoms. It can impare judgement, users shouldn't drive or operate any machinery while under the influence of LSD. And, like most drugs, LSD is illegal & possession can result in heavy prison sentences, selling to another carries an even longer sentence.

Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) is a gas that has been safely used as a mild anesthetic in combonation with oxegen for years. Nitrous is legally available for over-the-counter sale, alothough in many states, it's illegal to sell Nitrous to a minor. It's sold in small canisters for use in making whipping cream alothough it acn be purchased in large tanks. Nitrous is always inhaled, either through a ballon or directly from the tank. A lung full of nitrous results in temporary loss of motor control & a "dissociative" psycological effect, where sensations & perceptiona can become disconnected. Effects usually last for less than a minute, but repeated inhalations can extend the experience. *BEWARE* Nitrous produces immediate loss of motor control. Stay seated cause believe it or not, people have died from falling down after ihaling Nitrous. YOUR BRAIN NEEDS OXYGEN! Brain damage and suffocation can result from inhaling pure Nitrous for an extended period. INitrous can be exteremly cold & burn the lips and throat. High pressure levels i the tank can shoot the gas out at a dangerously fast speed & damage lungs. It's best to use a ballon. Nitrous can be psycologically addictive & cause long lasting numbness in extreme cases.

Magic Mushrooms are mushrooms the contain Psilocybin. Psilocybin is a psychedelic drug with effects simmilar to LSD. These mushrooms have been used by many indigenous cultures to induce altered states of consciousness during religious rituals. Shrooms are either eaten raw (fresh or dried), mixed with food or brewed into tea. There's no way to predict how much Psilocybin is in eat mushroom, amounts are determined by strain, size & age. At low doses, magic m,ushrooms produce feelings of relaxation & hallucinations. Users often report laughing alot & seeing intense colors. A shroom "trip" lasts about 4 to 5 hours. Like LSD some people love shrooms while others find them frightening. *BEWARE* The biggest danger associated with mafic mushrooms is misidenmtification. Some are poisonous & cause stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhea & even DEATH. Sometimes even the right shrooms cause stomach illness. Shrooms can impare judgment, cause panic attacks & anxiety, and "bad trips" can last for days, weeks, even months. And, like all of the rave rugs, Shrooms are illegal & possession can result in long prison sentences.
