Beliefs

In Wicca we believe in the God and Goddess as being the creative force of life. The earth is seen as the body of the Goddess and the God is the life force that impregnates her.
Life and the forces of nature are sacred therefore in Wicca they are respected, celebrated and used for magical workings.
There is no holy book as we believe that all individuals have access to the divine force within themselves. Magic is only practiced for positive purposes such as spiritual development, healing, guidance and safety purposes.
Our main ethic in Wicca is:

' And ye harm none, do as ye will'
Basically this means that if your intent on using magic as long as it doesn't harm anything then you can practice it. We believe in this as any energy that is ent out comes back three-fold with either positive or negative outcomes.

Principles of the Craft

First is the central ethic of performing magical workings:
' And ye harm none, do as ye will'
This includes:
i)Harming others by thought, word or dee.
ii)Yourself.

Second is the Law of Polarity, where everything is believed to have an opposite, for every action there is a reaction.

Third is the Threefold Law that stats whatever magical energy is sent out it will return threefold with either positive or negative outcomes.

Fourth is about harmony with the Divine and the natural forces of the universe by attuning oneself with them regularly and learning about them.

The God and Goddess

In Wicca the divine creative force is seen as the God and Goddess, they are both equal. There are many different Gods and Goddesses that are worshipped such as Celtic, Greek and Egyptian dieties but they are all aspects of the main God and Goddess.

The Goddess

The Goddess is seen as the universal mother and is known in wicca as the Triple Goddess: Maiden Mother and Crone. Her symbol is the moon. She creates life with the God.
The differnt aspects of the triple Goddess are associated with the different aspects of the moon. The Maiden represents the waxing moon- adventurous and full of ideas, the Mother is the Full moon- fulfilment, family and culmination and the Crone represents the waning moon- wisdom, secrets, psychic powers and sometimes Goddess of Death.

The God

The God is the masculine equivalent of the Goddess, he is the impregnator. He initiates change and action and empowers and protects the Goddesses creations. He is represented by the Sun and is the both lover and sone to the Goddess. He is known as the Horned God, protector of forests.
In Wicca he dies every year as the sun and is reborn again at Spring. He is both Lord of the light and Lord of Death.
