What You Used On Me

I'm the toxic candy
Lick me if you dare
I can make the stars dance
Are you ready?
I can take you there

Fire looks like sand
Through the hour glass
Never question those in power
Better watch them
With that one good eye

Frozen in time
Like a name without a face
I recognize your pain and laugh
Put you in your place

Wonderboy no longer
You cringe in the corner, frozen, solemn
Shunned by those who claim to care
Condemned by all of them

I smell your fear
Taste your hate
Sweets gone sour
By rot and decay
Your love was an illusion
I had failed to see
But now I've learned
What you used on me

Chicanery, you cloud my memory
And wave your magic wand
But you cannot sedate me
By breaking our sacred bond

Love was all I had to offer
You craved it like a drug
Driven by desire
Until you lost the buzz

Should have trusted my instincts
And left you long ago
Now my tortured, vacant soul
Has been killed by your ego

I smell your fear
Taste your hate
Sweets gone sour
By rot and decay
Your love was an illusion
I had failed to see
But now I've learned
What you used on me

Feel alone?
Vanquished by the cruel
Go and hide
You sad piece of meat
I am more of me without you

I smell your fear
Taste your hate
Sweets gone sour
By rot and decay
Your love was an illusion
I had failed to see
But now I've learned
What you used on me
