| Moderator Guidelines These guidelines are set forth for only the moderators of the community. They are not negotiable nor are any one of the moderators above any of the rules. They are to be followed and if any questions arise, they need to be directed to the GM. #1. Any and All complaints towards another character are to be directed to the GM and only to the GM. #2. Any and All concerns about a post or about a certain character's actions within the rp are to be directed to the GM and only the GM. #3. Any removal of writers/muns is to be discussed with the GM and only the GM. #4. No personal action is to be directed to any one-character writer/mun but instead to the GM and only the GM. #5. Discussions can take place between the GM, moderators and the writer but only through private emails. In the header or at the beginning of your email it is extremely important that you state, reply to the GM and moderators only, NOT through the list. This lets the person/writer know this isn't going through the list for all to see. #6. Great patience is needed for everyone, especially for newbies and there will be patience given. Especially when someone does make a mistake or err in their writing. There will be no condescending remarks made to anyone about their writing etc. There will be only positive reinforcements and encouraging words given. #7. Any one moderator isn't above these standards. Any one moderator that cannot abide by these rules can duly extract themselves from their duties or forward such request to the GM. There will be no toleration of breaking these rules. DUTIES OF A MODERATOR #1. Keeping the GM informed of any changes or any submissions of possibly new characters and writers. #2. Assist the GM in running campaigns in obtaining new writers. #3. Keeping the GM informed of absences or upcoming absences. #4. Keeping the GM informed of any issues that may arise about the slowing of the game, the pace that needs to change etc. #5. Keeping the GM informed on the SL (storyline) should the need arise. #6. Keeping the GM informed of any removals that may need to be changed. #7. Contacting the list and other players on any issue set before by the GM. #8. In the absence of the GM (which very rare btw) one moderator will be appointed to oversee the rp. The other moderators will then give this moderator the same respect as the GM until the actual GM returns. #9. Assisting in answering any rping questions. Any questions concerning the aspect of the role-play, rules and the website as well as joining RK and etc. These rules aren't made to command or demand the moderators. Just simple rules set forth as guidelines to which the moderators may know their boundaries and duties. The work of a moderator isn't always glorious and fun, but the need has come for several moderators in order to keep up with the many post and writers we have. Again, should there be any questions about the duties and rules of the moderators, please forward them the to the GM at [email protected] |
