| The Ravens Briar Manor Story Many years ago on the very spot where this hotel stands,there stood a great house, called Ravens Briar Manor. A very kind old lady, Mary Ravensbriar, lived in the great house with her son, Rutherford, and daughter in law, Diana. Rutherford was a great scientist and had been doing strange and secret biological experiments in the basement of the great house. Rutherford and Diana wanted a baby very badly and were very excited when their first was on its way. When baby Ruth arrived stillborn and deformed Rutherford blamed himself. No one is sure exactly what happened those last few weeks in late October. Some say Rutherford was crazy with guilt and went on a murderous rampage. killing his grieving wife and mother, secretly hiding the bodies in the great house. Shortly after the murders Rutherford disappeared. I heard that because they did not recieve a proper burial, the Ravensbriar family returns each year in late October to protect the evil secrets that made Rutherford mad with guilt. [email protected] |
