Righteous Love

The air is cloaked in the bitter madness of my cellar. The candle fails to illuminate but the smallest portion of this room. The light appears smeared and blurred through the stinging salt of my sweat which my eyes absorb. The wax crawls and tumbles down its destined path as if in anguish. I know the feeling.
And you....
You are everything that keeps me moving, that keeps the blood surging through my veins and vital organs. You are the moon that continues to shed her glow into the dawn that is her death. You are the secret that transmutes every base emotion within me into golden feelings. You are the rose without its thorns.
You are the lily. I am the man.
I plucked you away from your garden and placed you deep within my chamber. You don't even know it yet, but you never knew anything to begin with.
Slowly do your petals drift away.
Softly does your heart draw near to me.
Faintly do I hear your agony.
Gently do I soothe it all away.
Shortly will I swallow everything.
Calmly does your soul give way to this.
Hardly can this be a sacrifice.
Sweetly do you press against my skin.
Freely do your lips mouth words of sin.
Vaguely shuddering in puissance.
Fairly confident within my love.
My love....
- like Shangri-la. A beautiful secret I wish I could share. But is the world prepared?
One kiss and soft caress. One moment Jesus couldn't save. And even if he could, would he?
This moment of unprecedented love. This moment when I don't want to die. Would he? Would he "save" it?
This moment of true feeling. Would he?
This moment of utter emotion. Would he?
This moment of pure flesh. Would he?
And how could he?
A god cannot understand a feeling that requires skin. And Jesus had skin, but he never felt. But, maybe, because of that, I can feel. So perhaps, in essence, he did save this moment. He saved it for me.
To treasure. To indulge. To enjoy. To believe.
To believe that being human is not so bad. To perhaps show me that he did give up everything, including his ability to feel. he gives it up to the numbing sensation of bliss and peace. So that this moment, I could feel my daughter - my love. 1
