As soon as Sable got some free time, she went looking for Jez. She had been thinking about what Aaronth had told her all day, and a plan had formed in the back of her mind. She found Jez in the kitchen and knew by the look on her face that she would help. Sable grabbed a Coke from the fridge and went to sit at the table with Jez.
"Whatever you're planning I'm in. As long as we don't get into too much trouble," said Jez.
Sable grinned at the girl across the table and said, "What makes you think I'm planning something? I could just be really happy. Is it that obvious?"
"It's not obvious, but I know you too well," replied Jez. "Now what's the plan?"
Sable explained to Jez as she drank her Coke. "First we need to talk to Thierry. Then we're going to find out who Aaronth's father is."
"And how do you plan to do that?" asked Jez.
"Easy. We're going to take a little trip. We'll go to New York and visit Kallista. If she can't help us, no one can," replied Sable.
"She's the one Aaronth is always calling the "'Dragon Lady'" right?" asked Jez.
"Right. She's like a sister to me. In fact she may be a sister," said Sable, finishing her Coke. "Come on, let's go find Thierry."
The girls cleaned up their mess and headed toward the library.

Thierry turned when he heard the library doors open. "May I help you ladies?" he asked when he saw Sable and Jez.
Sable looked at Jez and smiled before answering, "Well, actually we could use a little information."
For the next two hours, Thierry answered all their questions and agreed to let them go to New York. He even agreed to tell the others that he had sent them. He called Nilsson and told him to make sure the plane was ready to take them to the airport. He sent the girls to pack while he got their tickets.

An hour later, Sable and Jez were on their way to the airport. Sable had called Kallista before they left and told her they were coming. Kallista wouldn't hang up until Sable and Jez had agreed to let her take them out that night. The two girls added some party clothes to their luggage and loaded the bags into the car. Thierry had called a meeting and informed the Circle where they were going, and they had said goodbye to everyone at the mansion. Now they were looking forward to a night before them. Sable was telling Jez all about the clubs she had gone to with Kallista last time she had seen her. This was going to be fun.
