Sable stretched as she got out of her car. Three days of driving had given her major muscle cramps. {{Well,}} she thought, {{I guess I should find Aaronth and find out why this meeting was so urgent.}} She gathered her coat from he car and looked around. Finally she spotted the club she was looking for, The Black Iris.
She stepped inside and waited for the mental assault that usually came from entering a Night World club, but it never came. She stepped out of the doorway and began scanning the sea of people before her. Aaronth was nowhere to be seen. Sending out a mental thought was out of the question since she was a stranger here, so she had to rely on her shifter heritage to help her find him. Using her wolf senses, she was able to track him to a dark corner in the back of the room. {No wonder I didn't see him} she thought. She smiled and began to make her way towards the handsome dragon.

Aaronth knew the minute she entered the club. He looked up and saw the beautiful wolf standing just inside the door looking for him. {Goddess she is beautiful. I still can't believe we are soulmates.}
He watched as she finally found him and felt his heart almost explode when she smiled his way. She had always had that affect on him. He watched her pick her way through the crowd with grace wrought by her shifter heritage. He couldn't help but smile when he thought of this beautiful creature passing by so many gorgeous men without even a second glance.

"Now that I'm here, do you mind telling me what was so important?" she asked.
"Not yet." he replied. "I have plans for us first."
"And what would those be? Or do I want to know?" she probably didn't. Aaronth may have been her soulmate and friend, but he had gotten them into trouble in the past with his plans.
"First, we are going somewhere we can be alone. I'll tell you the rest when we get there. Follow me."
As Aaronth led the way through the crowd, Sable found herself wondering what she had done in her lifetime to be rewarded with such a wonderful soulmate. He was so different from her, yet they fit together perfectly. After all, they were both halfbreeds.
As they walked down the street together, she could hear the thoughts of the people they passed. They were all staring at the girl with the flame red hair and the tall, dark man. It was obvious they were in love.
