This is Promesa at the age of 8 years.
 Isn't she beautiful?

Promesa is 14.2 hh,  a very gentle mare to handle, though
she has an incredible surplus of energy under saddle.
She is a very strong mare that can easily go all day long
under saddle.

Her sire, Springtime Boletero,
is a multi U.S. National Champion
in the Fino Stallion class.

Dick Lockhart, Kentucky,  is Promesa's breeder.
Dick sold her in a package deal to my friend
Susan Blanchette  in 1993.  I bought Promesa in 1997
from Susan and bred the mare to El Majestuoso.
She produced  a very fine filly from this cross, La Diva,
who may be seen elsewhere on this site,
as well as in the photos below.

Promesa has also had another filly, in 1994, from the Colombian
stallion Tominejo.   That filly is named Lalita la Manana
and is owned by Leela Waddel of Ashcroft, BC.

History has been made in Canada with the birth of this
exquisite mule foal on May 26th/99.

will be bred to the superbly gaited jack
Lucky Three Excelsior owned
by Loyd Hawley of

The resulting baby mule will be the final payment back to
Paso Finos Larimar for the purchase of Promesa.
