Desvelo was my payment for  apprenticing
1 year  with Alvaro Iriarte of
Startown Stables, North Carolina.
Desvelo is the son of the renowned
National Champion Classic Fino Stallion
Ensueno de Colombia.
His dam was  Fugitiva de Colombia.
Daughter of Florete, Fugitiva was a sister to the National Champion Fino Stallion, Flamenco del Moro.
Both Fugitiva and Flamenco are now deceased.
Desvelo is an exceptionally intelligent creature
with almost too much brio for his own good!
He is very quick footed with beautiful conformation,
not to mention his human-like personality!!

He moved to Illinois from N.C. with me.
But when I became engaged to my late husband Brian Todd,
and was about to move again back to N.C.,
I decided to let Desvelo go.
Gitta Poebing had long admired him, and so
she acquired Desvelo.
He flew to his new home in Germany in February, 1991.

I have seen him since then.
Here is a picture of me riding him in Bavaria in  1992.
He has a great home and is
an ambassador for his breed in Europe.
