| A Fairy Tale | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Once upon a time there was a group of sprites who lived in the depths of a dark, black, forest. There were ten sprites who lived in one glade, where the moonlight brillence of dusk was always a golden background to their moonlight dances and revels. The leader of the band of merry folk was Princess Falla, who wore a beautiful, long blue dress of morning dew. Her crown was made of the golden branch of a fairy-apple tree. Her fellow sprites and her lived in relative peace and harmony until they encounter evil in the forest one day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Princess Falla was consulting her trusted advisor, Peat, one day when Imp, the messenger, flew into the treetop palace. "Princess, I have just gotten word from our friends to the South that the evil Nothing is on the move. They say he has given up on them and soon will be trying to take over our part of the forest. "We must not let him get control of the Enchanted Pool!" added Peat, in great alarm. |

| The sprites then descided to have a meeting to let all the sprites know about the Nothing. They met that night under a full moon. The toadstools were set with a feast of dew and honey. They danced and sang and laughed, until the Princess got down to business. "Friends, were are in great danger. The Nothing we have heard so much of is going to be here soon, as we have reports he is heading our way. We must be prepared for him when he comes. Sary, I want you to collect as many red-berries as you can find and hide them away. Kilter, you will be in charge or planning a defence." The sprites talked on into the dawn, when they raced to their treetops to bed. |

| The faries went about their tasks and were soon prepared for the Evil Nothing. Then one day as the sun was setting and the faries were awaking, a noise suddenly sounded, like the striking of a bell. It rand out once, then again, and again. Gidon got up from her bed of moss and flew to the top of a tree and perched on the highest branch. All around her there was suddenly a black fog, and she couldn't see anything. The sunset disappeared completely from view and the forest was blacked out. Gidon wasn't scared, as faries don't get scared. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
