Valentine's Ball

Have you ever heard about the Valentine's Ball that takes place each year on Valentine's Day at the Grand House in England? I bet you have and everyone wishes that someday they will be invited for it, but if you are not coming from a high social class, the possibility is very low But there's still some chance that you will be chosen by a charming noble guy to accompany him during this Ball.

This year's Ball was another success, of course. I was invited but not as a partner of any guy, but as a Witch Weekly Reporter so that I will be able to write a detailed report about the dance in this edition. I would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Bragdorph who kindly have invited me as the Witch Weekly Reporter and as a special guest. I also had the chance to dance on the grand dance floor and feel the excitement and the way everyone was showing off with their best clothing.

I can't explain the beautiful dresses, sparkling jewellery, shows of women's best hair stylesAnd food and drinks : A big variety of this. What you can imagine was there available for everyone to eat and drink. I noticed with interest that there were a couple of drinks which the mix was discovered by muggles.

Music couldn't be left out. They got the best DJ existing at present DJ Schumbord, who entertained those present with different styles of music starting from up-tempo beats and then slowing down to relaxing music. This famous Ball started at 8pm sharp, and lasted till around 4 of the following morning. Everyone enjoyed himself a lot and they were already talking about how the next Ball in the coming year was going to be organized and prepared for.

The Minister of Magic was there as well. His dark green cloak would make you keep looking at him because it would have suited better someone around his 20s and not the Minister of Magic himself. I can tell you that this cloak is reserved by him for all these special occasions. I wondered also how many hours did he spent in front of a mirror to get that hair of his THAT shiny. He seems very artificial, though, trying to look 20 years younger than he really was.

If you would really like to attend the 2007 Valentine's Ball, make sure to make friends with someone noble and maybe he will give you the ticket!
