| Portkey Problems
A ministry of a magic employee was fired early last Tuesday. Collin Green was fired after neglecting to retrieve a portkey outside of a bar in London. Monday a group of Ministry of Magic officials met at the bar to discuss some �Ministry� business. It is Green�s job to pick up port keys that are reported as no longer needed. Because Green missed the portkey a Muggle found it and was transported right into the reception area of the Ministry of Magic. The Muggle started screaming and causing commotion and understandably so. �He thought he was going crazy at one point and at another time he thought that he had somehow been kidnaped.� Says Carl Willing, a Ministry employee. It took no less then four guards to calm down the unnamed Muggle. Once the Ministry gained control over the situation the Muggles memory was wiped clean and he was apparated back to where he found the portkey. Apparently this is not the first time a muggle has found a portkey on Collin Green�s watch. The Minister of Magic, Arthur Weasley, released a short statement on Tuesday afternoon. �It is a shame to have to let Green go but we can not have Muggle�s showing up who knows where after finding a portkey. Collin has already gotten four warnings over this and this was the last one. We at the ministry are currently looking into a way to make portkey�s useless to Muggles. I�m sorry but that is all I can say at this time.� I tried to reach Green but he declined to comment. Personally this is one witch who hopes the Ministry does come up with a solution to this problem.
