The Darkest Star
Additional area to mark down and speak out, maybe in a poetic fashion. Perhaps just on a blah blog. Depends on my mood.
Entry for October 25, 2006: the little things
Strange how the past slips forward before you do.
I was thinking of my stepmother as said in the previous story.
Today I received a phone call from my Father (family birthday coming up so phone call excepted).
My Father is no long working. He is 55 and thinks he’s old enough to retire. He maybe getting close enough to being sick enough. Not this story, This one is of a bored man with nothing to do in the middle of the afternoon. [Side note old man rides a Honda 1600; he had to get roll bars cause it would be too big to pick up. Its loud and he well looks a bit crises like on it.]
So bored man for some messed up reason ends up in a odd area for him to be in, but not an unfamiliar area. It is an area that my stepmother’s parents live. He calls said step-parent-in-law-peoples house. And who answers the phone???  Yes the said stepmother.  They go for coffee talk for an hour I guess. The whole story thing that Papa told me was that she was wearing and necklace. This was a gift that I guess my sister and I got her the first year that she was living with us. The I guess was suppose to have been pick out by “us” my sister and I. But It was a cross on a silver chain or something. Not something my sister would pick out, and she didn’t really like her after she moved in with us.
The thing that struck me was she was still wearing it. Think about the time here, more then 20 years. I haven'’ seen her in well I myself at least 12 years. My father said 20 for him. I also don’t understand why he went for coffee either.
The whole wrap up here, to me. Was I am told I gave someone something more then 20 years ago and they still wear it. It’s very touching. Just the thing I need right now. I don’t remember this gift or said event. I should stay positive and hope that neither of them are making it up. Families do that.
