The Teddy
The teddy sits and views,
a life it cannot see.
If it could talk it
would tell some stories.
Of far and exotic lands,
of sunshine and smiles.
Of tears and unhappiness,
when the girl found out more,
than she needed to know.
He could tell of loves,
that have stayed forever,
but gone the next day,
of heartache and anguish,
of whispers in the wind.
Secret conversations,
at the dead of night,
that only the lovers
and the teddy can hear.
He could talk of dreams,
escaping out the window,
of joys gone by, floating away.
He could tell everyone,
what she wants in life,
which has bloomed in front
of him, yet he cannot see.
His mind is full of
