Open a new canvas, by going to File->New. I created a 500 pixels by 500 pixels image.
Next what you want to use is a deep brown(#A76500)
Then What you need to do is select the "Channels" tab in the layers window.
Next you'll want to create a new channel by clicking on the button that has a box in it on the bottom of the window(to the immediate right of the trashcan)
Next you'll want to click Filter->Render->Clouds
Now go back to the Layers Tab, and select the layer 1
Next click Filter->Render->Lighting Effects
Now you should have a window open showing your image on the right, and you should see a "Texture Channel" on the bottom of the window. If you click the button menu next to it and select the "Alpha 1" and then click and drag the arrow head to the "Mountainous" side so that you have 100 you'll begin to see the rocky surface come to shape.
Now just play with the properties to create your rocky surface. If you select an Omni Light type your rock surface should be almost Polar Coordinated or circular.

First create a new image, 500 by 500 pixels, or however big you want the image to be.
Next fill the background with black
All on the same layer, select Filter->Noise->Add Noise and put in about 40%, distribution=Gaussian and select Monochromatic then hit okay.
Now the screen looks way to crowded and there aren't any skies that I've seen that have this many stars, so what we need to do is lower the "Level". Go to Image->Adjust->Levels...
Input Levels 135, 2.00, 250
Now you should have something that looks somewhat like stars. You can add a lens flare, to make it look like your looking towards a close up star, or put some colored, or non-colored, clouds on another frame and make it look like a nebula

First you will need to create the metallic layer. Start by selecting a dark gray, about
R=98
G=98
B=98
Then Select Filter;Noise;Add Noise at Amount=50, Gaussian, and check Monochromatic;
Now select Filter; Blur; Motion Blur, setting the Distance to 40.
This will give you a nice Metal like background.
Next you'll need to create your Cloud layer, by creating a new layer and then selecting Filter;Render;Clouds set the Opacity to 50.

Create a new layer with r=201 g=108 b=26 fill the whole thing and then Add noise, same as before will suffice(Filter;Noise;Add Noise), and then
