Speed is d-N-methylamphetamine. It is a synthetic stimulant. Speed is remarkably chemically to Ephedrine, which is used as a precursor to Speed. Speed has many of the same effects as Caffeine and Ephedrine, such as increased alertness and the decreased need for sleep. Speed is both physically and psycologically addictive. This can be a deadly combination as ones tolerance to Speed increases at a rapid rate. Speed can be taken oraly (Pill), smoked, snorted, or injected. Speed can cause many negative mental effects, such as violent behavior, disinterest in friends, and odd sleep paterns. Street Speed is often cut with adulterants, and as such, one should be careful from whom they buy. Speed is legel in the form of the prescription drug Desoxyn. Speed is a Shcedule II substance in the United States, making it illegal to posess without a precription and illegal posession can lead to prison time, with distrobution charges being much more serious.
