Cocaine is 5alphaH-tropane-2beta-carboxylic acid methyl ester benzoate. Cocaine comes in two forms: Freebase (Crack), and powder form. Cocaine can either be snorted or dissolved into a syrum and injected, in its powder form. Crack is either smoked or eaten. The effects of snorting cocaine come on fast, and leave fast, this leads it to be a very psychologically addicting substance. When cocaine is injected the effects are much stronger and come on sooner, this can easily lead to an overdose. When smoked, the effects offen come on before exhaling, but wear off the fastest. When eaten, the effects are not nearly as strong, but last longer. Cocaine significantly raises heart rate and blood pressure. Cocaine creates a euphoria like state, but since it wears off so quickly, many user take more to retain the feeling. When snorting cocaine, it is possible to permanently damage your nasal membranes. Frequent doses can lead to strokes, heart attacks, and other undesirable effects. Cocaine is a Schedule II substance in the United States, and is illegal to posses without a prescription. Distributing Cocaine can lead to serious prison sentences. In some countries Coca leaves are legal to be chewed and brewed into tea. If anyone knows of the countries that allow this, please email me.
