Mythical Creatures

This page may take a while to put together. Eventually I intend to have stories, information about, and pictures of all types of mythical creatures. But for now, I am just getting started so bare with me please.

Thanks

Rausha

Unicorns

unicorns are lovely horselike creatures with a spiraled and dangerous horn on their head... They are friendly creatures but tend to avoid contact with humans and other humanoid creatures.. They fear the unknown and unfortunately they know humans have and will do harm to them. They are a rarity and blend well with their environment. Of course, we all know they do not exist in our time or our world. But in our imaginations, unicorns live wild and free. There are different colors of unicorns, mostly white or brown and sometimes tan. However, the rarest and most beautiful sight to behold is that of the black unicorn. And sometimes when you are lucky enough to see a black one, look close because it may be no ordinary black unicorn. It could very well be a black unipeg (a cross between a unicorn and a Pegasus) and that is more rare and beautiful indeed.

Pegasus

A Pegasus is nothing more than a flying horse. Beautiful bird-like wings protrude for the horses back and allow them to fly high into the sky. As I mentioned above with the unicorns, some are crossed with unicorns and become unipegs. All three creatures being as beautiful as the next. Some Pegasus have been tamed and are ridden by soldiers and warriors. But most shy away from humans and humanoid creatures like unicorns. Most are white in color but once in a while you can find a brown, tan or black one.

Demons

The mention of demons usually frightens anyone unfamiliar with what they are. They are little winged creatures that live in the forest just like any other creature might. They will not normally attack anyone or anything. But when provoked they can be very vicious. But mostly they are small and quiet. They live solitary lives, only coming together to mate. Demons have tough skin that can be any color but most of them are some shade of green. And they do have large eyes and teeth so they look mean right from first glance. But demons are shy and tend to leave anything bigger than it alone.

And I have noticed that some, according to a message left in my guest book, seem to think I am referring to the kind of demon you hear of in the Christian religion. However, I am not referring to those demons. Those are completely different kinds of creatures. I apologize if you feel that I am condoning the belief that those types of demons are harmless. Personally I do not delve into the religious aspect of things on my web site because it tends to offend someone along the way. So when you hear about demons on this site, they are not the kind sent by the devil to kill us all. I had to share this as it is important that my visitors are happy.

This image was drawn and is copyrighted by my friend josh parsons. A link to his sight will be shown on the fun links page that you can get to from the home page or by clicking here. He is an artist and a fantastic one at that. He hires out his pens and pencils so check out the fun links page to find his site for more information.

Dragons were A mythical monster generally resembling a huge, winged reptile. These fire breathing creatures are enormous in size, but have the swiftness and agility of a cat. For centuries dragons have been the discussion of folklore. Its description varies from culture to culture, but the basis remains the same. Dragons were large, reptile looking, winged creatures.

Although extinct now, terminated by the hands of man, some believe that dragons are still in existence, hiding and lurking beneath the shadows, waiting for the time when they can once again fly freely in the skies. Some dragons are known to be shape shifters. Others possess the power of the chameleon as they can change their colors to blend with their surroundings.

Some societies believed dragons were evil and lived only to wreak havoc and destruction upon the lands. Other societies believed that the dragons were guardians of a higher class of people such as Kings or Queens or they protected treasures.

In medieval legends, the slaying of a dragon was the highest honor a knight or warrior could achieve. Thus if such a person could slay a dragon, they were fit to feast with a King. They would be granted riches and women.

More to come.......
