About My Book

Yes I'm a writer too. I'm a multi-talented individual. As you may have seen on my poetry page, I write poetry. I'm a genealogist too. And I'm a wife and mother. I sing and dance too. But I think my biggest challenge has come with beginning a novel. I don't get to spend a lot of time writing like I want to. But I'm getting there. This page will be updated as I progress with my story. I may even include a chapter or 2 here to get some constructive criticism. Heck, I might even turn it into an internet book. I haven't gotten that far yet in the decision making process. But for now I'll tell you a bit about it and go from there.

The story is fantasy. I've written 13 chapters so far. It takes place in a world divided between those with magic and those without. Those with magic live in a land called Omus surrounded by a magic barrier. A war is going on outside of Omus but the Omusians don't like getting involved in those things. A hand-fasting ritual takes place while the powerful wizard adviser watches a scene play before his eyes of the destruction of Omus. He is forced to stop that destruction or at least delay it a bit. He must escape Omus with the new bride and think of a way to end the war that now has Omus laid in its path. The question is of simple magic. But will he find the solution in time? And will the new bride help him or hurt him in his quest? And will the strangers they meet along the way be friend or foe?
