Electronic Compass

For the bigger one of my two robots i once found in Elektor (a monthly magacine in Europe) an electronic compass sensor module with digital outputs.. ideal to connect to a simple MP Interface.

As my "Big One" - Alf - was based on a Z80 processor i designed an Interface for the Z80 Bus i.e. the Bus i am using on all my Z80 systems.

The sensor is supportet by PEWATRON a sensor manufactor in Swizerland the Sensor has also a german distributor.

The sensor is great and very simple to implement. You can download the whole project here (view the tif File with windows IMAGING from Wang Software, installed with your windows 95 Setup .. if done so..).

Attention: with supply voltage - every peak KILLS the sensor ! (look at project)
