Mondo Rat Habitats

Hammocks and soft, washable habitats for rats, ferrets, sugar gliders, chinchillas, prairie dogs,
hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and many other pocket pets.

Each item is fleece lined, quilted with interfacing between two layers of fabric for durability. I always have a large selection of colorful fabric prints for you to choose from. Since each habitat is individually handmade, the dimensions are approximate and any item can be custom ordered in different sizes. I prewash all the fabric to preshrink and test for color fastness (in addition, my rats have personally tested all the designs for comfort, durability and roominess).

The Double Hammock is actually two hammocks in one. Your pet can lounge on the top and watch the world go by or nap in the privacy of the tunnel. Six removable hanging chains are included with each Double Hammock.

::: MONDO Basket Hammock :::

Your pet(s) will love sleeping in the soft, roomy Basket Hammock. The corners are sewn together to form a "basket" so they feel nice and secure. And best of all it is big enough for several friends to snuggle together. Four removable hanging chains are included with each hammock.

::: MONDO Frisbee Tepee :::

The Frisbee Tepee (named after one of my rats) sits on a shelf or the floor of a cage and provides a cozy hideaway for your pet(s). The inside is lined with soft luxurious fleece and a washable matching fleece cushion is included. For durability, I use TWO layers of interfacing inside the two layers of fabric. A loop at the top and the bottom rear of the Tepee ensures that it stays where you want it to in the cage.

::: MONDO Peek-A-Tube :::

The Peek-A-Tube is perfect for the smaller cage. It is similar to the Double Hammock, but is smaller and has a hole in the top. Your pets can hide inside and peek their heads out to watch what's happening and still feel safe.

Product information:

Everything is made from cotton or cotton blend fabric and fleece, lined with interfacing and then quilted together. Several people have asked about pets chewing on the habitats. My rats chew on everything (furniture, T-shirts, cage bars, you name it), but not on the habitats. I have no idea why not, but they don't. They are quite happy to pee in them though, fortunately everything is machine washable (take the chains off first!) -- I wash mine weekly.
