ABOUT OUR TRACKS
RattleSnakeHillsRaceway is a motosports complex designed specifically for Motorcycles and ATVs.  It is owned and operated by the Haynes family.  The facility is located on 100 acres of land approximately 15 minutes driving time from Poplar Bluff, MO.  It includes a motocross track, an oval flat track, a hare scrambles course and an arenacross style track. The first priority when building these tracks was to make them the best I could for the racers.  All the events conducted here are outlaw.  The scoring is based on nationally accepted standards.       The Motocross Track is 2.1 miles long, averages about 30 feet wide and utilizes the natural rolling terrain of the property along with man-made jumps.  It offers several high speed sections, elevation changes and a variety of racing lines due to the width.  This is a traditional style, fast, outdoor motocross track with table tops, ski jumps, a rhythm section and a step down.  The infield spectator area provides good viewing of almost 100% of the track and allows for a seperate, designated pit area for the racers.  At present I have about one third of this track under irrigation.  We start off a 42 man gate and run a summer motocross series.
The Hare Scrambles Track is approximately 3 miles long, snaking through hills and valleys, across three ravines and over a variety of terrain and obstacles.  During the winter we race an endurance series that combines the woods track and the motocross course for a total of just about five miles. Their is no preparation done to either track during this series.  Some of the racers just go faster.  These races run for an hour and a half regardless of weather.
The Arenacross Style Track was built recently to add another style of racing and is a low speed (second / third gear) jumping track with whoops, doubles, a triple and a step up.  This track is about timing.  We water this track with a water wagon.
The Flat Track is a 1/5 mile oval that has a 45' wide racing surface with the track length being measured 18" off the inside line.  It is built from red clay with a hard gray clay surface, has 3 degrees of banking at each end and the straights are equal in length to the turns, making this a symetrical track.  Flat track usage is by special appointment only.
Four tracks, Four different styles of racing on One property.
