The brothers kept traveling until night fell. They had made it into the woods that were located on the outskirts of the city where the wizard lived. They were all very tired and looked around for a safe place to sleep. "There is a cave over there" Mars said, as he pointed to a spot beneath some trees. "Oh my", said Scottso, "I see eyes staring at us from within the cave, I hope it's not the witch!" "Who's in that cave?", Elwood said in his fiercest voice (although his knees were trembling a bit). "Don't hurt us"' called back a very sweet feminine voice. "My sister and I have gotten lost. We looking for the wizard. " "We're on our way to see the wizard, you can go with us tomorrow morning." said Elwood. " Oh thank you so much, please come in and share our cave and we will all get a fresh start tomorrow-. You are probably hungry, so please come in and share our food" ,called back the stranger. The tired rats went into the cave. It was very dark and they could still not see their new friends very well. They gratefully ate the food that was offered and then all curled up together and slept peacefully until the next day.
