Updates of February & March 2007

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Hearty Greetings and best wishes in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your encouragement through your loving letters and your prayers. I would like to share the good news of the Lord’s ministry updates of the Rajahmundry area Churches of Christ in India during the months of February and March 2007.

I am personally busy with my daughter’s marriage during last week of January and the first week of February 2007. Thank you all for your prayers.

We have concentrated to visit as much congregations as possible during the month of February to strengthen the congregations and the brethren who are ministering in those congregations. A team of 6 Preachers named Bro. Moses Babu, Bro. K.Solman Raju, Bro. G. Kiran Kumar, Bro. P.Ratnam Raju, Bro. M. Prem Kishore and Bro. Ch. Chinni, visited the congregations with me. We have visited Purushothapatnam new Colony, Vangalapudi, Jambupatnam, Lankuru, Butchempeta, Kanupuru and Eethalapadu Congregations and conducted Street Gospel Meetings in the night.

During the month of March 2007, we went to Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu state and meet Bro. Rajandran who is a missionary and evangelist from Malaysia, with four of our Co-Preachers, my self, my wife and my two children. Brother Rajandran doing a wonderful ministry to strengthen the brethren of India, especially of Tamil Nadu and the north eastern states Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura etc. We have to the Preacher’s Workshop there. We enjoyed a lot with this trip. We sing songs in Telugu at the Preacher's wok shop at Nagarcoil where all the Preachers are known only Tamil. We had a wonderful man there is Brother Selva Raj. He knows and speaks Telugu very well. He translated and explained our songs in to Tamil. Tamil Brothers very enjoyed our songs. We are very much encouraged with the dedicated work of brother Rajandran and the preachers there in Tamil Nadu. We visited Kanyakumari and returned back. This is our first trip to such a long place. Except me, all others are first time to visit Tamil Nadu (Chennai) and Nagarcoil, Kanyakumari areas. we are held up at Chennai Railway station on 31st March due to Tamil Nadu state one day Bandh(Strike). We reached Andhra by 1st morning (April) by 8.00AM. This trip gives us a wonderful experience and great encouragement for all of us.

We have completed the construction part of church building (Shed) for Ratnampeta Congregation by March ending. We have to complete some finishing and painting works. We are going to inaugurate it during this week.

Five Baptisms were reported form our brothers during the months of February and March 2007. Please pray for the new born brothers and sisters.

We have conducted two Preachers Fellowship meetings at Purushotha Patnam during March. Street meetings were conducted at 27 places and Cottage meetings conducted at 24 places besides the regular Wednesday / Friday midweek services at all the congregations.
