Updates – Church building Inauguration at Gadala.

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I have attended to Gadala Congregation with my family and new couple (my daughter and son-in law) for church building inauguration on 15^th February 2007. Bro. Solman Raju invited me for that programme. It is a thatched shed (temporary structure) at government surplus land, which the land was provided by the village representative “Sarpanch”. Bro Solman invited her (Sarpanch) for the programme as chief guest. I have helped financially in a small way for construction of meeting place.

The previous congregation meeting place was donated by their fore fathers in 1980 and the present grand children claimed the land as their property. They lodged a case in court about the site against congregation. So we simply leave it to them, as we have no written land transfer document. We were constructed a tailed building there in 1993 and planned to constructed a RCC slab building in place that in 2005 and raised foundation. They stopped the construction and put the case. We have lost the building under construction.

We have inaugurated the building by 12.30 PM. We have conducted meeting and preached the gospel. One old woman from Hindu community (locally they are treated as higher community people) came forward to become the daughter of Christ. She was listening the word of God for the last two months and decided to be a member of His body by getting Baptism. We all went 1 Km by walk to the water tank and conducted Baptism. Bro Solman conducted Baptism.

And a sad news in my family is my grand mother’s (my mother’s mother) death. She was 90+ years of age. She is a great woman who feed us and grown up us as Christians. She was died on 16^th February 2007.
