| DAIKIN AIR CONDITIONER ADVERTISEMENT Setting: A couple have recently purchased a Daikin Air Conditioner. The man, upon returning home from presumably a 'hard day at the office' retrieves a steaming hot mug of freshly brewed coffee from the kitchen benchtop. He immediately assumes that his faithful wife had made the coffee and the following is said. See for yourself... Man: Thanks for the coffee, Hon'. Woman: What coffee? They both look suspiciously and disbelievingly at the new Daikin Air Conditioner, and at this point it is implied that the Daikin Air Conditioner had in fact made the coffee. In my opinion, this ad is detrimental to sales of the aforementioned air conditioning system. |
| THE SALVOS "LEND A HAND" ADVERTISEMENT Setting: It's Christmas time, a magical time of the year. All the giving.. But it's not like this for all children. A young boy sits hungry in a dark annex, anxiously waiting for someone to come. Suddenly, when hope of a bright future had all but abandoned him, a messenger in uniform appears. This generous Salvation Army worker hands him a package then disappears off to make good of some other 'lucky' child's life. The boy, obviously in need of food, clothes, a home and the bare necessities, opens the package to reveal... A polyester, inedible, toy bear. Merry Christmas! |
