Insert with band photos. Catalog of "For Life"disks and anke-to. Comments: "I'd like to hear a studio recording of these guys," was my first thought when I heard this live album. The album has grown on me substantially since then, but the fact that it is recorded from a live performance means that it is not polished. The band is extremely good, kind of a rap- oriented rocking acid jazz band. DJ Krush on the turntables. Comments: These guys had a good song on the Jazz, Hip, Jap album, but make the mistake that many Japanese DJs make when they try to get an international sound. That is, they hire untalented American rappers. The music is _excellent_ but suffers from bad vocals. The decent songs on this album are the only instrumental song one the album, one R&B flavored jazzy tune with female vocals, and a rap in Japanese.
