GROUP LEVEL LEADERS AND THEIR RESPONSIBLITIES
Group Folders
-Group Folder are the property of the Troop and may not be taken home
-Leader Must check their folders for announcements, events and paperwork
-Leaders May leave Girl Scouts-related items in their group folders
-Leaders May Not leave any cash or checks given by any Girl Scouts inside their folders
-Leaders May Not take any itmes or documentation home which are to be kept in the folders.
-Leaders May leave Notes to the Troop Leader informing them about particular situations or requests
-Old items such as Attendance Records will be taken out of your folders and stored by the Troop Leader

Lesson Plans
-Leaders Must follow the Quarterly Lesson Plans
-Inform your Troop Leader if you are unable to cover a part of the lesson plan due to lack of time or other constraints.
-Leaders Must keep a copy of the Lesson Plan with them to prepare before the meeting.
-Leaders Must turn in Group Meeting and Activity Summary Report and End of Quarter Reports

Additional Activities
-Leaders May choose to work on Girl Scout related activities not mentioned in the Lesson Plans if time permits and ONLY if Lesson Plans are completed

Badges
-
Leaders May put in a request for special badges to be earned by the girls.  Ask your Troop Leader for details.

Attendance
-
Leaders Are responsible for taking attendance
-Failure to take attendance will also result in leaders absence as well

Material and Supplies
-Fill out the Request Form for Additional Materials Needed and leave it inside your Group Folders
-Materials are limited, so ask your group to bring as much materials and supplies from home

Outdoor Activities
-Leaders May plan outdoor activities  or trips pertaining to what they are learning in their groups
-Leaders Must follow procedures for Pre-Program Reports and submit it to the Troop Leader at least six weeks prior to the activity
             
              
           
Checklist for organizing an outing /activity
-check for any possible conflicts with other groups or jamati activities
-set dates
-hand in pre-program report to Troop Leader
      -Follow sample format with proper title and description
      -All Scouts attending should be registered so they can be insured
      -Each girl's health form, birth, and shot record should be on file for her to attend                        
      (She cannot attend if the records are not on file)
-Hand in Announcements to Troop Leader
      -Announcements are always turned in at the time of the pre-program report)
      (Note:  Announcements may or may not be announced.  No guarantee)
-Ask for a table to hold registration, permission slips, and count of money
     -Follow Sample Registration
     -Follow Sample Permission Slips
-Follow Safety-Wise Instructions for ratio of number of leaders to girls.

WITH EVERY OUTING, TURN IN THE FOLLOWING TO YOUR TROOP LEADER:
-Pre-Program Reports
-Post-Reports
-Registration List
-Permission Slips
-Announcement
-Any other paperwork associated with the outing

        
Safety-Wise
-Leaders Must follow instructions from Safety-Wise when during meeting and when planning any trips and indoor/outdoor activities

Training
Leaders Must attend proper training after being registered with Girl Scouts

Leaders Meetings
Leaders Meeting are MANDATORY
