Rastakhan broke into the wrestling business back in June of 2003 being trained in Holland, MI by Joe Ortega (El Tejano) but after about 3 months of training in the lucha libre ways Joe Ortega decides to call it quits on training, to basically screw Rastakkhan over after Rasta paid his training fees in total. He was a good trainer and all that and Rasta appreciates all that he was tought by El Tejano, but what he did wasnt right and he will pay for it one way or another. |

ACW had a big show schedualed that summer and Rastakhan was supposed to take on El Tejano, this would be Rasta's 1st show he ever wrestled in and Rasta was very excited. El Tejano of course tried anything and everything to back out of our match (keep in mind this is a few weeks after he decided to stop showing up for training sessions) but he has no other choice than to go one on one with Rastakhan. So we both get out there in the ring and get it on, Rasta pounds him and pins him for the 1,2,3 in the middle of the ring. So now El Tejano and Rastakhan are even now, right?? NOT BY A LONGSHOT!!! I'll put it in nice terms we are not "buddies" any more. |

From there Rastakhan was guided to the training facilities of Dan "The Beast" Severn in Coldwater, MI which Rasta continued his pro wrestling training there in Oct. 2003. It was quite a drive for Rastakhan but well worth the trip because the methods of teaching there and the levels of progress you must take in order to advance to the next stage make sure you have a great concept on things before anymore is taught to you, completely different from the training of El Tejano were Rasta would just show up and we would run nothing but spot after spot after spot (which makes sense because thats pretty much lucha lebre summed up) but no ring psychology, character awareness, crowd interaction, and the other little stuff that make wrestling were utilized while training with El Tejano so the training with Dan Severn was a much welcomed change. |

After months and months of training Rastakhan was awarded a spot by Cindy Hall on an upcomming PWE show in Lansing, MI in the Winter of 2004 which Rastakhan would be taking on Desmond Dukes. It had been about 7 or 8 months since Rastakhan last wrestled in a show so needless to say the belly of Rasta was filled with butterflies yet again. Match went good, Rastakhan won |

The very next month Rastakhan was contacted by OVW in Louisville, KY saying they had chosen him as one of the 50 participants worldwide to come to OVW for a week to wrestle with them, they were running a tryout camp or something of that matter. Rasta was overwelmed with excitement, as he has just put in an app for the tryout a few weeks prior and figured he had turned it in too late to be accepted.
The time Rasta spent down in Louisville was great, perhaps one of the best experiences of Rastakhan's life, so much was learned and alot of people Rasta had never met before quickly became friends and we had a blast and all the camp participants got to attend an OVW tv taping that Wednesday. The best part of that whole week was hanging out with OVW wrestlers talking to them, getting their imput on stuff, just basically taking it all in and absorbing as much as i could that week. |

Then Rastakhan arrived back in Michigan with his head held high, just working show after show and putting to use all that was learned not only by OVW, but Dan Severn and El Tejano as well
Thats the epic story of Rastakhan and how he went through the ropes to get where he is today |
