| To be great is to go on, to go on is to be far, to be far is to return. -Lao Tzu |
Awake! My friends, and set your compass to mine, for my vision is to seek a newer world, and to sail beyond the horizon. We adventurers as of old, who now can speak but of common things, will soon tell stories of our worthy deeds. When children sing their songs, it shall be of us they sing, from now, until the end. For honour is cheap when taken for naught, but we friends shall have earned it. We shall leave with only our wits and our woes, and return with honour and gold. So straighten out thy tunic, mend its crimson cross, and shine thy silver blade, for thou shalt need both. Like the Lion-heart and his soldiers of the Lamb, we go now on a new crusade. And yet, if thy blade doth break, and our God fail to save. Then we shall end as we began, as friends, but more, as brothers. |
