If not, then who?
             "If not you,
Then who?"
Understand,this is my
Last chance to be more
Than me.  We could spin
Gleefully on the edge of
Now or lethargically amble
Between each other
Like so many carnival
Folk from tent to tent.
As we passed, I would
Wink, tell you a story,
Kiss your cheek perhaps?
                  And you
Would say, "All is
Well," or "Here's where
The flying comes in."
And it would be, and
We would; singing
With our eyes as we
Turned about each other
In barrel rolls.
                          "Who
Knew?" you would ask
About the joy of our
Spinning and holding
onto us.
                "You did,"
I'd reply, in front of
Our favorite tent.
