Paganism
I am a practicing Wiccan. I have achieved a Third Degree in the Gardnerian tradition.
I am currently training as a Bard - the first grade of Druidry
What is Wicca?
Wicca is an earth-based religion. This means that as part of my faith, I revere the world around me. The various celebrations I participate in are generally tied to the changing seasons and the phases of the moon.

Wicca is also known as Modern Witchcraft. It first came to public notice in the late 40s when a book called "High Magic's Aid" was written by Gerald B Gardner under a pen name. After the repeal of the Witchcraft Act in 1951, Gardner wrote several books under his own name, revealing what witchcraft is about as a modern religion.

What is Druidry?
Druidry is not just a religion. It's a philosophy. While a lot of modern Druids are Pagans, there are Druids of lots of faiths. I belong to three Druid groups: The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, the Druid Network and the Gorsedd of Caer Abri.

Once again there is reverence for the natural world and the ceremonies are tied in with the cycle of the year. There is more emphasis on solar cycles rather than moon cycles.

To me Druidry and Wicca are complimentary to each other.
