Mr. President, you have some very good ideas that are worthwhile pursuing but you may have some problems implementing them.. Allow me to ramble... Isn’t this free-flow of ideas just wonderful?

Of the items you mentioned, EDUCATION should be first and foremost on your list of priorities. Mandatory, FREE education should be available through high school for all children with strict minimum graduating requirements.

Assistance should also be made available to those "Brightest and the Best" students to further their education without regard to their financial status. Incentives, such as tax breaks, should be given to those businesses that are committed to educational partnership programs. Businesses could update their computer systems while donating their dated systems to the schools. A win-win solution that even works here in the USA.

There should be a mandatory requirement of at least 4 years for all people to serve in the country’s military. Besides bolstering the country’s economy through defense spending, there are further possibilities of people learning viable skills and furthering their education and at the same time, strengthen the military.

Unfortunately, the population growth is out of control and drastic measures must be taken immediately. China’s zero population growth policy should be studied and modified as necessary for immediate implementation. However, an army, 70 million strong may not be a bad proposition either.

Decrease the dependence on foreign influence, be it oil or durable goods, political or economic. Develop hydrogen power, develop nuclear power, develop mass transit... Develop a NATIONAL SELF-RELIANCE consciousness. For those unwilling to stand together for the good of the country, contract with the Chinese, put them all on slow Chinese freighters to Canada. Once there, they can easily find their way onto the USA welfare rolls.

There is a wealth of information ready to be tapped, all readily available now. There is no sense reinventing the wheel. The research and development has already been done and most of the problems have been worked out. Get a few spies! Emulate the Chinese, just take what works and make it better. Reverse-engineer everything and don’t worry about the "Fair Play". Heck, go out and develop a few Nuclear bombs. Invest in a few Chinese Playtendo weapon system neutralizers.

One suggestion, allow foreign business to establish their factories, nuclear power plants, tourist meccas, whatever you need and learn well. Then, in 10 years or so, declare a "Revolutionary Government" based on Adolph Hitler’s Nazi Germany. (Since, that "was" the world’s most perfect form of government... what’s a few million dead people?) Take over all the businesses, declare yourself debt-free and kick out all the foreign influence... WIN-WIN situation, RP gets a jump-start and foreigners get screwed. (They’re only interested in the sex anyway, right?)

Toodles,

Steve
