Melora Creager is the first chair of Rasputina and the lead vocalist, songwriter and lyricist!

Born on March 25^th Melora is originally from Kansas but now resides in Brooklyn with her daughter Hollis and "consort" Sebastian Lane. These two people are special to Melora and thanked often on Rasputina albums etc. At the age of nine Melora picked up a cello and began to play and hasn’t really stopped since apart from her adolescence (*don't you know cellos aren't cool? DUH*), encouraged by friends in the rock industry to play once more Melora got back into the string of things (hehe) and toured with the coolest rock groups of the age (like Nirvana).

Apart from Rasputina Melora also plays roles in films such as On My Knees a film about a Victorian maid!
