| RASPATUL The Perfect Realm Of Jharkyannarkh (Promo CD-R) (self-financed) 9:54min This little two track silver disc is the second effort by RASPATUL which is an oldschool Death thrashing oufit from the violent moshpits of Singaporean Hell. Like on their first demo CD "Menghitung Ajal", this quartet again delivers a solid forged alloy of hard hitting, deadly and thrashing riffs, pounding and galloping rhythms and a varied speed department which ranges from mid-tempo parts to violent and fast outbreaks. This horde is without any doubt heavily influenced by the ancient German masters SODOM, DESTRUCTION or KREATOR and as well as by oldschool Death Metal squads like PESTILENCE, AUTOPSY and the likes. This traditional sounding brew is refined with some slight blackened ingredients which give the two tunes additional drive. It's honest, crushing and brutal stuff played with dedication. The production of this promo is done very well I think. It has this typical underground flair but it is far beyond of being messy. It's quite solid and good sounding just with a raw edge. The CD is enhanced with some bonous material and so you will get four video clips by the band which were recorded live. So if some of you would like to see how an underground gig in Singapore looks like then you should not hesitate to get in touch with the band at [email protected] or www.raspatul.tk. At the end a tragic note: vocalist Ayim passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident on 13th July 2005. I would like to offer my condolences to his family and his band mates. Rest In Piece brother!
