Devils In Renewed Birth
Not many bands from Singapore get much attention, due more to lack of touring opportunities, international press and media exposure and countless factors other than musical talent. A prime example is Raspatul, who�ve displayed copious aptitude since their inception and have ably promoted themselves beyond their region. The band, since recording this collection of works, lost a member in a horrible motorcycle crash, reformatted the unit and put this album together, taking their previously released tracks to Mr. James Murphy to be remastered into a cohesive release that would showcase their talent to a larger audience.
The band again thrust forth their tech-death/thrash lineage to full exposure here, injecting the crusty Possessed/Sodom foundation of high-quality thrash with modernized warfare tactics, adding a hint of death to the empowering and depraved riffs already embodied in their original demos. Devils could easily be seen as a sign that this is a band to watch, who one day will get a full-on deal and be able to really tackle the masses. I could easily see them getting a release with Hell�s Headbangers, Red Stream, Nuclear War Now! or some of the other perpetuators of unbridled brutal metal worship. Check it out. 8 tracks / 51:50.
