Raspatul - The Perfect Realm Of Jharkyannarkh (Promo 2004)

Raspatul, hailing from Singapore; deliver some very excellent blacken thrash metal in the form of their two song promo. When listening to both of the tracks, some of the music seems reminiscent of old school German thrash metal legands Kreator. But it also mixes in elements of some old school black metal that can be compared to older Immortal and other Norweigian black metal acts. The production isn't crystal clear, and I'm glad. The sound has a raw aspect to it, but it creates more of an atmosphere for the style of music that Raspatul is trying to play. What stands out the most, in my opinion; is the great job of vocals done by Ayim as well as the killer black/thrash riffing done by guitarist Calvin. The riffing by both Calvin as well as bassist Hisham are done very well and sound great , especially in the first track. Drummer Fadzlly does a great range of drumming from playing the more traditional thrash metal beats as well as playing some great double bass and of course, blast beats. Overall, this CD is very worthwhile to any fan of black/thrash/death metal and I highly recommend getting touch with Raspatul by either visiting their website at www.raspatul.tk or through email at [email protected]. Please also check out their website and click on the picture of Ayim to go to a memorial forum to post your condolences about Ayim's passing away, the band would appreciate it very much.
