13) Rudra is opening for Kreator in Indonesia. Any old' skool or new bands you wish you could open & play with?

- First of all, congrats to Rudra for having the fucking honour to open the show for Kreator in Indonesia! Its certainly a hell of a lifetime to get this chance. Well, if we had a choice, there is no doubt that Morbid Angel would the one.

15) What do you personally think of band competitions? Good or bad?

- I personally think that band competitions are too overrated. No band should need an approval of winning a band competition to catch the attention of the media. I am not sure about the band competitions from other countries, but I feel in Singapores band competitions, they give a lot of empty promises. With the promise of a recording contract or a label contract, and maybe the bands do get what they want eventually with the contract, and where the hell are the bands now? I dont see them getting a chance to tour even around the South East Asia region. And even if they get a recording contract and managed to release an album, what have the labels done to promote them? Either they are stuck here with the scene playing gigs every now and then or they fade away.

16) What local bands do you admire/listens to?

- When I first got involved in the scene, I embraced the underground scene already back then. I was in touch with Ray Aziz who was playing with Swirling Madness back then. He sent me a copy of  their cassette We Are What We Are and I really loved what they were doing and it gave me a very deep impression. I really loved Opposition Party during their Thrash Metal days and I had the honour of seeing them during their jam sessions and it was a pretty big influence for me as a teenager. Remember the band Necreous? I was friends with them, but only via snail mail and they send me a copy of their cassette split album Necreous/Desecrator. Belial was another band that caught my attention with their killer music and a cool artwork on their demo. I really dig the first album from Rudra when they were known as Rudhra with their demo entitled The Past. They were heavily influenced by many Death and Thrash Metal bands and obviously they have not found their style which they now call Vedic Metal. Another excellent Death Metal band that came out in the mid nineties is Graycode. Its a pity that I dont own the cassette anymore. It was during that time when I was heavily into Florida Death Metal and Graycode was definitely a source of inspiration for me.

17) You bear an uncanny resemblance to Ah Boy (TNT), you're not related are you? What do you think of the man? Hehe

- Well, I always get the comments that I look like Ah Boy so many times that I just get immune by it. No, we are not related in any way. Ah Boy is definitely the person whom I look up to and respect totally. I learned a hell lot of things from him and I was especially grateful when he gave me a chance to do mixing for live shows and gigs and taught me a lot of things along the way. In fact, I respect him so much that he was my witness who signed on my marriage certificate when I got married. Everyone who knows Ah Boy long enough will know that he is a fucking hilarious person and his jokes are no holds barred. He is also a very good family man that rushes home immediately after his work at the studio.  To be honest with you, there are too many good things that I can say about him and its hard for me to describe and say in words. You only will know him if you hang out with him long enough.

18) Sarcofargo define Metal in 3 words: Sex, Drinks & Metal. what are your views?

- For me, Metal was never about anything that needed to be evolved around it. But yes, Metal does have its certain boundaries and I am very sure that sex and beer are very much a part of it. But in reality, there are so many others and have sex and beer and not know what Metal is all about. Metal is just simply about aggression and breaking all the rules in music and when I meant breaking the rules, I was talking about things like you dont need the radio to sell your music or neither do you need a pretty face. You can be an ugly fuck and no one would give a damn.
