As I was in Hawaii-Nei in
'71 -
so early on, I became aware of
things that the U.S. Government
was doing in the Pacific, which
included the purposeful deto-nation
of gigantic nuclear bombs in the
Pacific. -My heart was drawn
towards the Micronesian, especially
the Marshallese and other
Polynesian / Melanesian peoples
that were being used as 'Guinea
Pigs', with nuclear explosions near
populated islands, with the sole
purpose of seeing how these
beautiful innocent people would
survive the torture of U.S. long
lasting radiation. -Even
denying
the Marshallese the right to move
from the toxic islands to
suitable ones.
In my love for the Pacific peoples, I travelled throughout
the Pacific, Aotearoa twice in 1985, just prior to the bombing
of the Greenpeace Warrior in Auckland Harbour.
While strolling down
Queen Street in
Auckland (Feb.),
I happily came
upon
a rather large street
protest against
U.S. policies in
the Pacific. -There
were many beautiful
vibed people that
I met, and they
were also happy
to meet I, a U.S.
citizen who shared
their concern.
In that I was already
against the nuclear
madness that my own
Government had
embarked on for
decades, I also fell
in lovewith the people
of New Zealand,
those Pakehas and
Maori alike, who were
entirely conscious and
righteous.
Also
while visiting the South Pacific, earlier,
I was totally impressed with the truly
outstanding statesman from
New Zealand, Prime Minister David Lange.
His participation in the ignored South Pacific
Forum, was noted by me as a wonderful
righteous outspoken providence for the region.
His outspoken wisdom, with such eloquence,
led me to write to him later, while giving him
support because of the U.S. attacks he was
facing. -A wonderfully vibed Prime
Minister
who wrote back to me later - a letter that I will
always treasure, even despite our differences
on various truly tragic New Zealand policies
that he would embark on in years to come,
that being the complete $ell-out of the nation.
I was shocked when Prime
Minister David Langen was
attacked in a most heinous
way by the U.S. media, when
he visited the United States
later. -This all during a time
when the U.S. broke the
ANZUS Treaty, by not treating
New Zealand as an ally, with a
break in the sharing of
information that friendly
nations should in fact share.
It was very clear that the
U.S. Government totally
disregarded the 'Democratic'
wishes of the New Zealand
people, who voted that nuclear
arms not enter or endanger
New Zealand. -I of course totally
supported New Zealand, and
found again that my country (U.S.)
was practicing truly insane policies in the Pacific, which
included
intrigue and the attempted coup of Vanuatu - and by entering
Suva Harbour in Fiji, with a nuclear loaded submarine, totally
against the wishes of the Fijian Government. -Then I heard about
the assassination of the leader of Palau, because the U.S.
Government wanted, and now does, store nuclear bombs
and waste in Palau - amongst countless other atrocities
against the peoples of the Pacific.
Sadly now, New Zealand has evolved into a privatized joke,
a national policy and direction that in turn is raping the land
day by day, year by year, with a sad departure from the fervent
appreciation of the natural environment towards the policies
that hurt the Maori Nation and people and THEIR RIGHTS.
While I have made Maori friends both in Aotearoa and the
United States, I wish to offer my love to the Maori people
and Pakeha alike, in the hope that the nation can save itself
from the onslaught of the world and those that would destroy
not only the environment through trans-national conglomerate
ownership, but also from the complete insanity of unbridled
immigration.
In the course of time, I desperately wished to emigrate to
New Zealand, in fact I visited the New Zealand Consulate
General in San Francisco many times, and found that it was
almost impossible. -My
wish was to study at Massey University
in Palmerston North, to become a veterinarian. -However,
seeing how the New Zealand Government is now allowing
masses of Non-Polynesian peoples to emigrate there, to
outnumber the Maori, and in turn destroying the place -
I am rather vex over the whole shituation.
