The Birth of Prophet Mohamed(P.B.U.H)

^{A Relation like of Soul & Body}  

Holy Quran teaches us the fact that " Man has to pass through several stages even before his birth to this world " (See Chapter 7:172).

The existence of world of spirit or soul is mentioned here. The creation of his body is commenced separately in the womb of his mother. At the 4^th month of pregnancy the soul from the World of Spirit is descended in the presence of an angel and inducted into the body of the child. It is from this point that life starts in the combined form of body with spirit. After getting the shape in the joined form there is a duration of 5 months and a few days he lives in the womb. Then mother gives birth to the child.

Most of the scholars opines that the Holy birth of Prophet Mohammed (P B U H) was on 12^th day of Rabee-ul Awwal. But when was his Holy Spirit descended and inducted to his Holy body in the presence of angels while his mother carried him ? What was that date ?

We give specialty to the date of birth since it is date when the body entered to this spacious world (See Chapter (19:15 & 19:33).

If that be so, similar specialty can be attributed to the date of entry of spirit or soul as well. It is even more correct to say that spirit or soul is more important than the body.

When we look at this angle, if the date of birth of Prophet Mohammed (P B U H) is on 12^th day of Rabee-ul Awwal, is it not appropriate to assess or verify the date of entry of this Holy Spirit to his body and thus to Earth ?

We shall now analyse this by making use of the accepted calculations from the science of Astronomy and Gynaecology. If we ponder on that basis, we find that the entry of the Holy Sprit of Prophet Mohammed (P B U H) had taken place on 27^th of the Holy month of RAMADAN, or at least during the last ten days of RAMADAN. We may now check the above conclusion taking RAMADAN 27^th as the date.

Note: The length of a Lunar month is 29½ days according to astronomers

When we assume the entry date as RAMADAN 27^th we get the pregnancy period of 280 days to reach Rabee-ul Awwal 12^th. According to Gynaecologists the normal duration of pregnancy is nothing but 280 days. There may be slight variations in certain cases. But the universally accepted average is 280.

Any how, it appears that the Holy Spirit of Prophet Mohammed (P B U H) has descended during a night falling on any of the last ten days of the holy month of RAMADAN. The perfect tally of 9 months and a few days tends us to state that the HOLY SPIRIT OF PROPHET MOHAMMED (P B U H) DESCENDED ON LAILATHUL QAD'R.

We can, therefore, rightly conclude that Lailathul Qad'r is a night when in addition to descending of Holy Quran it is also a night when the Holy Spirit of Prophet Mohammed (P B U H) the spirit on which the holy Quran is minted, too descended along with Angels. ALLAHU-WA-RASOOLUHU-A'ALAM

We can also state that the duration between a man's induction of spirit into the body and his birth is 162 days same as the duration between RAMADAN 27^th and Rabee-ul Awwal 12^th.
