Is there a better way?
Ok, we have got this far. How can we stop terrorism, make the world a better place? I believe the firststep is to really identify the problem areas and then develop solutions that will:

1. Allow for the maintenance of basic human rights to have sustenance, shelter and live free from fear without repressive conditions no matter where you live.
2. Act reasonably in action and be focussed on achieving mechanisms that are predicted to obtain lasting peaceful resolution on a long term basis.
3. Encourage an environment of growth and development in human evolution with the specific desired goal of eliminating as much as possible traits allowing fanatical martyrdom to be desired.
Will we make it? Can humanity overcome it's own lack of long term vision? Can people subdue greed and anger, hatred and aggression in favour of sharing and conciliation, caring and peace?
Pros
The human capacity for compassion, understanding.
Our ability to rationally use logic to achieve workable solutions.
People's capacity to adapt, individually and collectively.
The human will for survival.
Cons
Greed and avarice.
Cruelty.
Lack of group consensus on sense of purpose unity.
Fanaticism.
The Power of ONE.
YOU are not alone, yet you are lone. An individual surrounded by millions of individuals from millions of species. What seems to us to be a great big world is really just a tiny microscopic spec of dust in space, not special in any particular regard nor even in the most desirable part of the galaxy if you consider the amount of garbage floating around out there.
YOU are special, you are the current culmination of millions, billions of years of evolution. Think about it for a minute and tell me you still believe in a god. Let's face it, any diety worth their salt could do better. Woops, better not upset the religious folks - remember that I believe that we all should share the Earth as long as we GET ALONG. Comprehend that or isn't it clear enough? We are all entitled to our opinions and I don't believe in any god, I believe in life, people, enjoying what I have. 80 or 90 years will be enough, and every day I see something that makes me glad to be alive. Sure I get stressed and hate things at times, that is a product of my intelligence, my humanity. My heritage on this planet gives me life, it gives all of us life. Look for the beauty around you, it is there.
You have a beautiful world, it is only how you look at it. Think negatively of yourself and it will be so. We all deserve love, we all are masters of our own lives, yet we let people push us around every day. That is because we haven't learned the power of one as a collective yet. We haven't learned that together we can topple the mightiest of obstacles, overcome any adversity if we put our minds to the united purpose of the betterment of mankind, living in harmony with our environment, our world.
I think we all want it, want peace, want a better life. I think we want to, each and evry single ONE of us, wants to be happy. I don't think we want to be greedy, cruel or unjust, I think we get caught up in things, react protectively and start events in motion that can change the world without knowing where to stop.
The power of one is strong when YOU, no matter how small you THINK you are, adds your voice to the demands of many.
Crackpot suggestion or not I say it is as simple as this.
If you live in Isreal or Palestine, South America or Africa, Europe or Australia, China or Vietnam, no matter where, the power of one gives you the right to demand a better world. It is the power of one that fires the first shot, and it must be the power of one that stops the madness we live we. It must be the power of one that puts down the first weopon and says "enough".
We are better than that, we deserve better and we can have it, Sharing, kindness and compassion. If we all GIVE that then we will receive without taking. The power of one can work. All it takes is for the arms bearers, the people who are about to hurt, to turn around, look at their victims as no different to them, their brothers, one like them in their own world, their own life. Surely after all of the evolution we have we can respect our fellow humans?
Their are no gods, there is no mystery to life. It is there, we can either explore it and honour our intelligence by using it for good, or we can change it, perhaps to our detriment. The power of one is YOU, no matter who reads this, it is YOU. YOU are the master of your own destiny, I am mine.
I hope you enjoy your life.
