| News - Rare To Continue GBA Development Thankfully, Joel Hochberg, the American co-founder of Rare, has confirmed that Rare will still develop games for the Game Boy Advance, and will retain its dedicated GBA development team. "We still plan to work on games for the Game Boy Advance in the future," Hochberg confirmed in an interview with msnbc.com journalist Steven Kent. Although the article is well written and interesting, my respect for Kent went down a few notches when i saw his heading "Though it has never published a video game....". Indeed, if you dont count Diddy Kong Racing, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mickey's Speedway USA, and several others. Seriously, journalists need to do their homework before attempting to sound intelligient and informed when it comes to writing about our industry. In my view, Kent failed. However, that's beside the point, and we can all rejoice in the knowledge that GBA development is still in progress. Its a small consalation, but if SabreWulf is anything to go by, Rare and Nintendo's relationship may not be over as we had first thought. Check out our GBA sections for more information on Rare's GBA games. Steven Kent's Article>> |
